Visit to Cotopaxi National Park which is the country’s most visited mainland park and has around 33,390 hectares although during weekdays is maybe traffic free and in quiet solitude. The park itself affords spectacular views of the Paramo landscape with the 5890m cone-formed, snow crested volcano Cotopaxi as the center of the attraction.
We’ll depart from Quito to the south, taking the Panamerican Highway, through agricultural areas and ranches. Before arriving to the park, we’ll visit the interpretation center and Limpiopungo Lagoon. We could hike till the refuge and maybe a little more higher. At the end of our visit we’ll take lunch in a restarurant from the area, with a great view of the park. Afternoon, return to Quito.
