Arrive Baltra Airport. Reception and transfer Ferry crossing to Santa Cruz Island (10 min-ride). Arrive to Santa Cruz Island. Stop in highlands of Santa Cruz where you will visit a Giant Tortoise Reserve for an easy hike to observe to Giant Tortoises in their natural habitat. Arrive to Puerto Ayora, check in and accommodation at selected hotel. Lunch at a nice restaurant in town. Overnight in Puerto Ayora. (L)


Breakfast. Visit Charles Darwin Station. The Charles Darwin research station is located in the town of Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island. Ten minute walk from the Center of town. At The Charles Darwin Research Station you’ll learn first hand of the conservation and research efforts in the Galapagos Islands. See the tortoise hatchlings and breeding programs which are saving several races of tortoises from extinction. Also, the opportunity to see the giant Galapagos tortoises. Departure to Isabela Island by shared speed boat around 2 PM. Arrive in the afternoon and transfer to Hotel and check in. Overnight in Isabela (B)


After breakfast, we take a bus ride up to the highlands of Isabela where we hike to “Sierra Negra Volcano”, one of the active volcanoes in the Galapagos. The largest caldera in the islands with a diameter of 9-10 kms. Sierra Negra offers volcanic activity as well as spectacular geology and the northwest side of the caldera is an area of fumaroles. Lunch will be in a nice restaurant at the highlands of lsabela. Return around 4:00PM. On the afternoon you can relax around the stunning white sand beach of Puerto Villamil or at the


Visit Tintoreras: A short distance from Puerto Villamil is the small island known as ‘Las Tintoreras’. We may have the opportunity to see a small colony of penguins recently established in Puerto Villamil, often resting side by side with Blue Footed Boobies. Here a colony of white tip sharks may often be seen resting in a lava canal. You may snorkel or swim around this island. In the afternoon visit the “Arnaldo Tupiza Breeding Center” to learn about the endemic giant tortoises of this island, their development and the Galapagos National Park’s efforts to increase tortoises’ population. Day 5: Isabela – Santa Cruz Island

Early morning transfer out to Santa Cruz Island by shared speed boat. Upon our arrival we will enjoy from breakfast at Puerto Ayora.

We will then visit Tortuga Bay, a wonderful beach one hour walk (five km) west from Puerto Ayora on a marked and cobbled path.

The path is good for bird watching; it is easy to spot several species of finches as you walk along the path. The white sand beach is considered by many the nicest of the archipelago. Species may be found, including pelicans, blue footed boobies and marine iguanas. After our visit to Tortuga Bay we will have lunch at Puerto Ayora. (B, L)

Day 6: Transfer Out

Breakfast and Transfer out Baltra’s airport. Flight black to mainland for connections or visit Ecuador. End of services. . End of services.
