Day 2: Lima city tour
PM Full city tour of modern and colonial Lima, declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1991. Tour in an air conditioned bus with a bilingual guide. The tour includes a visit to the Cathedral, Main Square, San Francisco Convent and its Catacombs, and the residential areas of San Isidro and Miraflores. Return to your hotel. Free evening. Day 3: Lima – Arequipa
Transfer to Lima airport for flight to Arequipa. Reception at Arequipa airport and transfer to the selected hotel. (PRIVATE)

Day 4: Arequipa City tour
In the morning, after to the breakfast, we start the tour driving towards to the district of Cayma, one of Arequipa’s traditional districts, taking as a route the new bride of “Chilina” that allow as to enjoy a view of our city and its terraces with the Chili River. In Cayma we will visit the Main Plaza and its Church, where the Dominican monks built a chapel in the year 1544 and today this Chapel is the sanctuary of the Virgin of Candelaria. Finishing with this visit we will drive to the area of Añashuayco; place where the famous volcanic stone “Sillar” is extracted (Sillar is the white volcanic stone that is used in the construction of colonial buildings in the city of Arequipa). In the area of Añashuayco, your guide will give you information about the origin and geological formations of the quarries and we will have the opportunity to observe the hard work that this job takes. We will drive to Yanahuara having a wonderful view of the city and its volcanoes and exploring some
traditional streets. After Yanahuara we keep forward to San Camilo market and then, Arequipa Main Square (Plaza de armas) where you guide will give information about history and details of its infrastructure, and important points about the Cathedral. Our tour will finish taking clients to the entrance of Monastery of Santa Catalina. (B) (SHARED)

Day 5: Arequipa – Colca Canyon
In the morning, you will be met at your hotel and taken on an incredible four hour journey to Chivay. Have your camera ready as you will stop at various stunning viewpoints including the Pampa Cañahuas Reserve, which is home to many exotic Andean animals including vicuñas, alpacas, llamas, flamingos, ibis and the Andean eagle. You will see astonishing landscapes as you drive past lakes, glaciers and some magnificent volcanoes, such as Ampato, Sabancaya, Huallca and Misti. During the journey we will reach the highest point of 4800m (15,000ft). Afterwards, we head down the canyon to Chivay, for our lunch,and transfer you to your hotel. (B,L) (SHARED)


Day 6: Colca Canyon – Puno
In the morning we will meet you at your hotel and you will start your tour of the Colca Canyon. We will take you to the most wonderful places in the Colca Canyon. Along the way, we will make a few stops in small Andean villages where time seems to have stood still and Colonial architecture remains to be well saved. We travel along the canyon until we get to ‘Mirador Cruz del Condor’, which is the best viewing point where you can look into the depths of the Colca Canyon. This viewing point is 1200m deep. From here you will most likely always see a few condors flying with an amazing scenery in the background. You will have the chance for a short hike along the canyon and afterwards, you will enjoy a locally prepared lunch in Chivay.
Transfer to Puno city, this journey will take 6 hours approximately.(B,L) (SHARED)


Day 7: Puno – Uros and Taquile Islands
We will departure from Puerto Puno, in the direction of the floating Uros islands. At the first island the local people will show us their customs and traditions. After the visit to the local community we will go the second floating island. You will be able to enjoy the scenery and take pictures. The final island will be the Taquile island, we will be arriving at the port of Salakancha. We will walk of 30 minutes in the island to visit a communal house, we will be able to enjoy cultural dances, music and textiles. Return to the Hotel. Overnight in Puno. (B) (L) (SHARED)


Day 8: Puno – Chulpa de Sillustani
We will visit the archaeological site of Sillustani located in the district of Atuncolla, 34 km away from the city of Puno, on the shores of the lagoon of Umayo at 3840 m.s.n.m. Sillustani is one of the largest necropolises in America and the most impressive in the world. We will stop at the Chullpas that are buildings considered funerary monuments built by families destined to keep their mortal remains. we will stop at Atuncolla village to visit the colonial church of San Andrés and a craft center.(B,L) (SHARED)


Day 9: Puno – Cusco
Today we will continue to Cusco located 8 hours away from the city of Cusco. In the way to Cusco we will stop at the museum of Pukara. Located 1 hour away from our start point, a culture that was developed in 1600 BC. Today we will have lunch at lunch the tourist restaurant La Pascana that is recognized by the good seasoning of the chef. We will continue to the archaeological complex of Raqchi (3,450 masl) also known as the temple of the god Wiracocha and we will visit the chapel of Andahuaylillas (3,093 masl). The Andahuaylillas also known as the Sistine of the Andes is famous because of the beauty of its murals. We
will arrive to Cusco at 6pm approximately, where we will have our transfer to our selected Hotel. (B) (L) (SHARED)


Day 10: Cusco City tour
Afternoon guided visit of the city downtown main attractions and the four ruins nearby. The tour will start at the Cathedral to then continue with the Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, after which we will visit the Sacsayhuaman Fortress overlooking the city of Cuzco, a pre Inca architectural masterpiece; Kenko, a rock sanctuary whose monolithic altar representing a puma, the red Fortress of Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay, a beautiful fountain fed by a spring forming a series of basins. Return to Cusco downtown. Overnight in Cusco(B) (SHARED)


Day 11: Cusco- Sacred Valley.
Full-day excursion to Urubamba, the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit the village of Pisac, founded during Colonial times. On Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays the Indians barter their products, and artisans from all over the area sell their woven alpaca wool blankets and ponchos, engraved gourds, antique reproductions and jewellery. On Sundays, it is also the meeting place for the local Mayors of the region, who come dressed in their traditional costumes, to attend morning mass. After buffet lunch, a visit to Ollantaytambo, the only Inca town which is still inhabited. Explore the ruins above Ollantaytambo . After visiting Ollantaytambo, we will continue our trip to Urubamba, capital of the Sacred Valley, where our Hotel is located. (B, L) (SHARED)


Day 12: Sacred Valley – Maras /Moray.
After breackfast we will visit Salineras de Maras and the archaeological center of Moray located about 7 Km away from the southwest of Maras. You will be able to see the natural holes that were used by the Inkas who built agricultural terraces with their respective irrigation channels. Today we will have lunch in a Urubamba restaurant, with a variation of typical dishes from the area. Overnight in Urubamba. (B) (L) (PRIVATE)


Day 13: Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu – Cusco
Transfer to the Train station to catch the train to Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu. Arrival in Aguas Calientes, reception and transfer to the bus station to go up to the Machu Picchu Citadel on a 30 minutes ride. Upon arrival,guided visit of the most spectacular ancient city in the world. Machu Picchu was built in the 15th century and later abandoned. The citadel is renowned for its sophisticated dry-stone walls that fuse huge blocks without the use of mortar. The archeological site contains houses, temples, warehouses and a large central square all connected by narrow roads and steps that are surrounded by terraces cut into the mountain side and panoramic views. There are also intriguing buildings that play on astronomical alignments.
After the tour, free time to enjoy this spiritual wonder. Lunch in Aguas Calientes. Return in the afternoon by train to Cuzco and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Cusco. (B, L) (SHARED)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Cusco’s airport for your flight back to Lima and international connection. (B)
